Business mogul, philanthropist, and Prime Minister of Ijebuland in 1956.**GLOBAL MOMENT:**In 1956, *Queen Elizabeth II* stayed here during her royal visit to Nigeria.She rerouted her trip from Ibadan/Enugu/Kaduna just to visit "her father's friend".This one house put Ijebu-Ode on the world map.**50-100 YEARS AGO IMPACT:**1. **Economic Hub**: Sawmills, rubber processing, cycle tire factories, transport lines and plantations made Ijebu a national trade center2. **Employment**: Shifted Ijebu from agrarian trading → wage labor and corporate discipline3. **Political Bridge**: As Ogbeni Oja and member of Colonial Legislative Council, he linked traditional leadership with modern governance4. **Education**: Founded *Olu-Iwa College in 1945* → later *Adeola Odutola College*.
